My biggest issue with Portal 2 was that puzzles generally only had 1 solution. Your only reason for not getting it would be not owning Portal 2, which would already be a sin in itself. There was a bug in the original release which was missing some Linux files to make the mod work but that has now been patched in. But I think it's a wonderful little mod for people who want more Portal because there can never be enough Portal. And the difficulty curve is pretty steep. There is very little tutorial stuff, you are expected to know what you are doing. I've played a bit of the mod and it seems to be specifically aimed at people who played Portal 2. The modification offers an entirely new story, entirely new levels and a new original soundtrack, which also comes free of charge. I'm guessing that is the way they could ship it for free. However, you do need to own Portal 2 in order to play the mod. The mod comes completely free of charge and is standalone, meaning that you do not need to have Portal 2 installed.
